Pedieos IVF Nicosia Cyprus

Pedieos IVF Center is the oldest fertility clinic in Cyprus and Greece, set up by Dr. Krinos M. Trokoudes, who has been highly influential in establishing the IVF industry in the region.

Established way back in 1986, the clinic is located in the Capital of Cyprus, Nicosia. The facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art laboratory and they endeavor to remain abreast with the latest in the field of artificial reproductive medicine.

The clinic successfully used ICSI technology as early as in 1992 and they were responsible for the birth of the world’s second ICSI. The same year, they also had the oldest woman in the world, who was 50 at the time, deliver a baby using IVF with donor eggs and it was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records in 1992 and 1993.

The clinic is accredited by the Government of Cyprus as a Daycare Clinic and is also licensed by the European Union Cell and Tissue Directive as a Tissue Establishment.

Their success rate for IVF using own eggs and sperm are around 55 percent cumulative, which is among the highest in the region. The success rate for donor egg IVF is 78 percent and with genetic screening of embryos, it is 83 percent.

Most people are only going to take one or two chances at IVF and it helps to get your treatment by a highly experienced doctor to maximize the chances of success.

The clinic offers a wide range of services including natural cycle IVF, ICSI, PICSI, egg and sperm cryopreservation, frozen embryo transfer, PGD/PGS, and surrogacy (only for local residents).

The doctors speak English and Greek languages and we can arrange for translators for any other languages on special request.

The clinic is situated in a busy district right in the City Center. It is located on the same street as the Cyprus stock exchange, the country’s Ministry of Finance, Public Service Commission, and other Government departments and foreign embassies.

It is about 40 minutes’ drive from the Larnaca airport and a little farther from the Paphos airport. You must enter the country only via those two airports or via one of the ports at Larnaca, Paphos, Limassol or Larsi.

There are many hotels in the area but for IVF you need to stay for 2-3 weeks. If you’re looking for a short stay apartment or AirBNB, you can get options as low as $20.
