I used myo-inositol for about 5 months because of PCOS and irregular ovulation. It wasn’t some miracle overnight thing, but my cycles definitely became more regular after a while, and I felt less hormonal chaos overall.
A lot of women take it to help with:
- insulin resistance
- irregular periods
- ovulation
- egg quality support during TTC
The most common version I kept seeing was the 40:1 myo-inositol + d-chiro-inositol ratio. My doctor said consistency matters more than expecting instant results.
That said, I also think people online oversell it sometimes. Some women respond really well, others notice almost nothing. It seems to help more if your fertility issues are connected to PCOS or insulin resistance specifically.
The good thing is it’s generally pretty mild compared to heavier fertility meds. Worst side effects I personally had were some bloating during the first couple weeks.
