Did anyone do IVF in Malaysia? What was your experience like?

A couple we know went to Malaysia for IVF and were very satisfied with the experience. It's not just that they got pregnant, they spoke highly of the doctors and the level of service, especially since they weren't expecting it to stack up to their usual standards.

Almost everyone spoke English

Clinic standards were good, doctors were friendly and capable

Practically no waiting time

There was a little hiccup with their medical visa involving a little back and forth in the beginning, but the overall process was super smooth.

I don't have the name of their clinic but I guess in general you can find one by:

1. Asking for full cost break down and seeing how transparent they are
2. Requesting an online consultation (most professional clinics will charge for this; usually worth it)
3. Reading google (but not relying blindly on them as they can be manipulated)
4. Ask about embryo freezing and options for future transfers

I always prefer to speak to multiple clinics and doctors and then go with the one that feels right. You can never be a 100% sure and even if one person had good experience at a clinic, another may have the worst experience at the same place. You have to ask the right questions and trust your own instricts.
